Covid-19 Travel Requirements

St. Kitts & Nevis is pleased to once again welcome visitors to its shores beginning October 31, 2020. The Federation will observe a phased reopening with specific entry and travel requirements to be observed by visitors. The travel requirements outlined here are for Phase 1.

In Phase 1 of the reopening, St. Kitts and Nevis will designate visitors into three categories:

Returning Nationals, Residents (proof of residency stamp in passport), Caribbean Single Market Economy (CSME) certificate holders and Work Permit Holders are required to:

Submit Required Forms & Upload Test

Submit COVID-19 RT-PCR negative test result from a CLIA/CDC/UKAS approved lab accredited with ISO/IEO 17025 standard, taken within 72 hours of travel, along with required embarkation form and all other supporting documentation. A form is required regardless of age. Forms must be submitted no later than 24 hours prior to travel.

Please note, acceptable COVID-19 PCR tests must be taken by nasopharyngeal sample. Self-samples, rapid tests, or home tests will be considered invalid.

Follow Health & Safety Guidelines

For your health and safety, visitors are required to wear a face mask, practice proper hand sanitizing, and physical distancing.

The cost for quarantine at the Government facility at Bird Rock Apartment Complex is USD 500.00, Koi Resort is USD 60.00/night for a standard room and USD 90.00/night for a suite, OTI is USD 500.00, Ocean’s Edge is USD 800.00, and at Potworks it is USD 400.00 and the cost for each COVID-19 test is USD 100.00. Returning nationals and residents may also opt to stay in pre-approved quarantine housing at their own cost, including appropriate security.

The government-approved accommodations are:

  • Bird Rock Apartment Complex
  • Koi Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton
  • Ocean's Edge
  • Ocean Terrace Inn (OTI)
  • Oualie Beach
  • Potworks
  • Royal St. Kitts Hotel (Limited - Monitored activity)

Any traveler in this category who wishes to stay in one of the approved hotels for “Vacation in Place”, are required to do the following:

1-7 days: visitors are free to move about the hotel property, interact with other guests and partake in hotel activities.

8-14 days: visitors will undergo an RT-PCR test (USD 100 Nationals/Residents) on day 7. If the traveler tests negative on day 8, they are allowed, through the hotel’s tour desk, to book select excursions and access select destination sites (list to be announced later).

14 days or longer: visitors will need to undergo an RT-PCR test (USD 100 Nationals/Residents) on day 14, and if they test negative the traveler will be allowed to integrate into St. Kitts and Nevis.

Upon your arrival, you will have your temperature checked and asked to answer a series of health screening questions, including health and travel history.

For your health and safety, please ensure that you:

    Wear your mask when social distancing is not possible.
    Practice social distancing.
    Wash or sanitize your hands in 30 minute intervals.
  • Follow established health & safety protocols for all attractions and excursions.

Departure Requirements

Arrive 3 hours prior to flight departure.

All travelers are required to take a RT-PCR test (USD 150, visitors’ cost) 48 to 72 hours prior to departure.
